Eighteen years ago today, I registered the business name Heeling Hounds Dog Training and launched my company. Since then I have had the honor, pleasure, and privilege of working with over 1150 clients and their dogs, and am most proud that in all those years, have never, ever used a prong collar, shock collar, choke chain, or any other harsh methods or corrections to teach dogs what we'd like them to do (and not do). I would like to say a heartfelt ❤ THANK YOU ❤ to all the clients, friends, and family members who supported me and helped me reach this milestone! Here's to another fantastic decade! 😊 🍾 🎉 💝 💕🐕🐾

So so sad having to share these reminders every year, but PLEASE protect your beloved pets while people are busy blowing stuff up in local neighborhoods this coming weekend (often illegally, but they don't care).

Keep pets INDOORS, make sure ID tags and microchips are registered and up to date, play calming music, and give them a nice long-lasting chew toy. Pop by the vet now if you think they'll need a little extra calming Rx to get them through the cacophony. Our poor pets (and all other animals) don't understand the terrifying booms and think the world is ending. Show some compassion and spare a thought for Veterans living with Post-Traumatic Stress who can be very sensitive to these noises. And PLEASE don't support the sudden pop-up fireworks vendors on the side of the road!

It’s always an honor and huge thrill when a past client calls me back to help with a new puppy! So wave a happy Thursday hello to sweet Miss Ellie May, a five-month old Labradoodle who’s eager to greet the world and learn and explore all she can! She’s lucky to have a super sweet mom and two older brothers who are showing her the ropes (as well as a feline big brother who seems to enjoy having a young whippersnapper in the house to play with)! Ellie Mae did so well in her first lesson, and I can’t wait to go back and check on her progress! 😊💕🐕🐈🐕🐾
