Although she definitely went through that "puppy stage", she has become an irreplaceable part of our family. After we got married in August 2020, we decided we wanted to try to breed her as a way to teach our 3 kiddos more responsibility and about the process and work involved in caring for puppies. Mila became pregnant around December 26, 2020 with her first litter. The vet told us she was expect
ing between 5-9 puppies. Mila's 10 beautiful puppies were born on February, 26, 2021 in our basement with the help of Tom and I. One of them sadly did not make it despite our attempt to save the little guy. Being able to support Mila and comfort her through her first, almost 8 hour labor was quite an experience! Mila had 9 boys total and only 1 girl. Thankfully, Tom agreed to us keeping the girl and adding another beautiful golden to our family! These puppies have been socialized with other dogs and our 3 kiddos since they were born and we can't tell you how much they are loved! We are excited to share our journey of breeding beautiful, purebred golden retrievers for hopefully many years to come!
