Our Story
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this letter, we appreciate it! First off we would like to give you a little background on Heber Valley Horse Sales. In 2011 after 30yrs of already being in the Horse Sale/Livestock Auction Industry, The Brent Kelly family along with The Ken Beck family got together and decided that in order to go on and keep producing a horse sale that we needed to step it up 100% and become the Elite sales event in the state of Utah. That year we designed a website, put all the horses in the sale on it with pictures and video. The first year in 2012 we sold 56 head and our Sale Average was $3,200, with the high horses selling over $10,000. In 2013 we sold 80 head with our average being $3,500. The 2014 the average was $3,7500 & the top selling horse was $10,200. In 2015 our average went up to $5,500.00. Our 2016 Sale average exploded up to $7,500. 2017 seen Huge numbers, $23,000 was our high selling Horse along with a $18,000 dollar Horse. Our Sale is every Year in May & we have received lots of positive feedback and it has helped us keep the fire alive to produce a bigger and better sale each year.
The sale each year has brought more and more people into the Heber Valley and we try to keep up on the latest marketing techniques to get them here. This year we will again be doing a live feed so we can encompass an even bigger audience. The live feed will be broadcasted on our website and everyone who views the sale from the Internet will see your business info around the live feed screen. It is a great way to get your business information out there for everyone across the nation to see. This is our first time doing a live feed, but we are really excited about it and with what we have heard it will take our sale to the next level.
Our 2018 Horse Sale will have an Open Preview all day Friday. The horses will compete in various events and compete for Buckles & Prizes. They will be prepared to show their horses in 4 competitive events. We know itโs an asset to our sale and it showed off the horses very well. The events in the open preview will be Team Roping (Heading & Heeling), Team Sorting, Reining Cow Horse & Team Penning. We feel these events can encompass a wide range of people & performance horses. Our actual Sale Trail Competition will be apart of our open preview outside. It is usually done inside the night before the sale or morning of, but this year it will be outside and start at 11:00 a.m.
