Nipps Oklahoma Smurf. Cabin Creek Rowdy x Wolf River Tiny. First c**n she ever saw. I have been Squirrel hunting her. And she has been treeing some squirrels. Took her tonight by herself. Treed an easy pop up. So I rolled it out and she fought it like a bear. Cabin Creek Rowdy meets Big River. Might be a heck of a cross.

He is my ideal dog, intelligence, looks, and sound. I would say accuracy, but to me, that shouldn't even need to be mentioned. That should be understood by this point. There are a lot of things that shouldn't need to be said when it comes to what’s expected of a c**n dog. C**nhounds have been bred long enough that accuracy shouldn’t be a question, and if it is, that dog shouldn’t be bred.
He doesn’t need all the latest competition hunt buzzwords. To me, a c**n dog is a c**n dog.
That means:
They should look like a c**nhound.
They should sound like a c**nhound.
They should be able to live without a no-bark collar.
They shouldn’t destroy your kennels.
They shouldn’t be mean.
They shouldn’t bark at nothing when turned loose.
They should actually hunt where they’re turned loose.
And most importantly:
Winning a cast has absolutely nothing to do with a dog’s ability to reproduce good c**n dogs.
It’s perfectly fine for you to have a different opinion than me, or anyone else. This is my dog, and this is my opinion about him. And you know what? That’s exactly how it should be. You should enjoy your dog and know what you want in your dog because it's YOUR dog.
Don’t base your joy on what you read online or chase the latest fads.
Life is too short not to enjoy what God has blessed you with.
You raise the dog, not strangers on the internet.
You feed the dog, not the experts at your local hunts.
You’re the one who leaves home to follow that dog in the dark, no one else.

YOU should enjoy YOUR bond with YOUR DOG.

If you spend your life constantly comparing and worrying about others, you’ll look back and realize you wasted a lot of time and energy on things that never really mattered.

So I encourage you:
Take the dog you love to the woods at dark and turn it loose.
If you have a family BRING THEM ALONG.
Shut off your light and your phone.
Find a log to sit on.
Look up at the stars.
Listen to the beauty God blesses us with and remember why you started doing this in the first place.
