Return of Impounded Animal First Offence: $25 first day, $5 each additional day. Owner Surrender: $55 per animal, must be scheduled with the ACO prior to dropping animal off. Quarantine/Court Case Impounds: 50$ initial impound. $20 per day. Disposal of Deceased Pets:

50-100lbs- $75
100lbs and over- $100
Removal of dead animals off private property- $35
A ticket can be issued at any time for a dog or cat wondering beyond the owners property without reasonable control. A ticket can be issued at any time for not having a dog/cat license. Dog/Cat licenses can be obtained at the city clerk's office (2nd floor of city hall). All dogs and cats residing in the city of Hazel Park must be licensed with the city within 30 days of entering the city, or when the animal reaches 4 months of age. There is a 3 animal per house hold limit.
