Wow! That was a hot one. Yuck. Thank you Jackson armory for hosting the Hip to Snip clinic this weekend. Thank you to the mayor of Jackson who donated lunch and water both days for our volunteers and vet team. We appreciated it! Thank you to Ronnie for all of the technical support. We had several new volunteers also - so much easier (especially when it is hot) when there are extra hands. Much thanks to Banfield Foundation for their generous grant, our vet and vet team who work their butts off, Kenray for shadowing and saving the day with a critical supply item, and Starfish Animal Rescue for managing the grant, donating accommodations.

We are not doing any clinics in July and beginning of August. We cannot schedule anyone until we have confirmed dates and location. People are frustrated that they want spots and cant get in but we have 4 counties of unaltered dogs and cats wanting a spot. We are doing our best. A reminder - if you No Show we will not offer again. It’s not hard to return a text.

We will reach out to those waiting when we get new dates. Stay cool! Keep your pets cool!

We are likely filled with male dogs but we will have a wait list in case someone cancels.

We are in Jackson this weekend doing a clinic. We may have a few large male dog spots but we have many male cat spots. We are not back for all of July and have no idea what we can schedule in August.

If you are interested email (not messenger) [email protected] We need:

It’s $15 for cat, $20 for dog. There are thousands of unaltered pets in your area and only a few slots each time - if you cancel it likely can’t be rescheduled.

Thank you for a great weekend. We fixed 24 dogs and 40 cats. We made a serious dent in pet overpopulation this weekend in the 4 counties this weekend. Thank you for your patience. Female cats fill up first, then female dogs. We are pushing for larger dogs to help with all of the litters and strays. A reminder - this is an income based grant so you must make under $40,000 as a family. It is for Breathitt, Letcher Perry, and Knott counties. It’s $15 a cat and $20 a dog includes vaccines. There is a lot of need in these communities as we know and we’re doing the best we can. If anyone would like to sponsor lunch each day of our clinics, please send a message.
