Luna. Photo was taken in 2003. I may have posted this some time ago but I felt she deserved another posting! A sweetie pie with high energy and so much fun to ride! She's an old lady now and enjoying retirement.

I've been seeing a lot of posts lately about horse owners laying their babies to rest. It's so heartbreaking and yet strangely uplifting. Just like we do for our other fur babies, we help them cross over when their quality of life declines. We do the right thing for them even though our hearts are breaking. No selfishness allowed. No letting them linger on when its clearly time to let go. Im especially grateful for my daughter who came up one time to help. Not to say goodbye but so long and I'll see you again. I can't do posts anymore about the ones we lose, its just too difficult but that doesn't mean we didn't love them just as much. When this is their forever home, there's gonna be loss over the years. We continue on and every day gets a little easier and we'll always cherish their memories. ❤️🐎🐎
