‼️ URGENT HELP NEEDED FOR LOKI ‼️
This is Loki — a sweet pup belonging to one of our unhoused friends.

Earlier this week, Loki was sadly hit by a vehicle. 💔 He received an initial assessment from a vet, was placed on kennel rest, and started on pain medication. But his condition is still uncertain.

To give Loki the best chance at healing, we’ve placed him in boarding for the week. If he doesn’t improve, he’ll need imaging and further medical workups, which come at a high cost.

We’re asking for your help to cover boarding and ongoing medical care. Any donation, big or small, makes a difference in Loki’s recovery.

🚨😭 MOMMA OUT OF TIME ON EUTH LIST, PUPPIES PASSED FOR KHS ADOPTION 😭🚨

This sweet momma came in as a stray with 2 little ones. KHS determined the pups were old enough to be separated from momma and chose to pass them for their adoption floor, but Momma did not make the cut and has been left behind on the Wichita Animal Shelter euth list!!! 😭 Momma is friendly as can be but simply over KHS age limit. She is PAST DEADLINE and any hour could very well be her last. ⏰ WAS has been euthanizing past deadline dogs quickly and daily. 💔

Momma is AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION HOLDS but is located in a locked hall outside of public view so stands no chance in finding an adopter from those who may be walking through the shelter. 😩 The shelter does very little to help these pets be seen. This girl is absolutely reliant on the small amount of rescue marketing being done to help her find a home!!

WE KNOW THIS MOMMA DESERVES THE SAME CHANCE BEING GIVEN TO HER LITTLE ONES!! Please SHARE to help her find a home before it’s too late. 🙏

➡️FOSTER: Kansas residents can apply with Redemption Animal Rescue, Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue, Wichita Animal Action League, Lifeline Animal Placement and Protection. These rescues are currently approved to pull from Wichita shelter and may be able to help, otherwise please reach out to rescues in your area! You can also try to contact Kansas Humane Society rescue department for a list of current partners.

Beauties & Beasts is in desperate need of foster homes for cats and kittens. Every day, we get calls to help save lives, but without foster homes, our hands are tied.

Fostering means opening your heart and home temporarily to a cat in need while we search for their forever family. We provide all the supplies and medical care — you provide the love and a safe place to land. 💕

Whether you can foster a mama with babies, a playful kitten, or an adult cat looking for a second chance, you will be directly saving a life.

Good morning from the Chuck & Don's Derby location for our VIP (Very Important Pupper) Quiet Shopping hour! We have a great group of dogs coming in this morning, individually of course. Some of these dogs have anxiety, some prefer to be the only pet and some prefer to simply shop alone because busy stores with lots of activity can make them nervous. We are so thankful to Chuck and Don's for helping us give them an experience, they may not have otherwise, by opening their store exclusively for our dogs this morning! Our boarding facility is running dangerously low on bleach, and we need your help to restock this vital supply ASAP.

We clean constantly—but bleach is one of the most important tools we use to go beyond surface cleaning and ensure true sanitation for the dogs in our care.

Here’s why bleach is so important in rescue:
🧴 It helps disinfect kennels and common areas
🦠 It’s crucial for stopping the spread of illness
🐾 It ensures a safe, healthy environment for every animal we house

Changing the world, one rescue at a time...

Beauties and Beasts is a state-licensed 501(c)(3) death row rescue located in Wichita, Kansas. We do not discriminate against breed, age, medical needs, or behavior. We love ALL animals and breeds the same.

Since our founding in October 2014, we have been able to save the lives of over 2000 death row animals, we have also been able to network out over 1100 animals to other rescues. We are a completely 100% volunteer run rescue, we also rely on 100% donations from our followers and supporters to carry out our mission to save animals in our community.

Our purpose is to rescue death row animals from the shelter and in our community and place them in foster homes where they can receive the care and training needed to become family pets. Our main mission is to change these animals’ worlds one rescue at a time. Another large part of our mission is to be a voice for animals in need throughout our community and we are proud to say we have been able to make an impact on the streets of our city as well.
