Kansas Local Foods is hosting Local Food Producer Workshops in collaboration with the Kansas Department of Agriculture and the Kansas Center for Sustainable Agriculture and Alternative Crops. These workshops are an opportunity for producers and small food businesses to learn more about selling their products through direct-to-consumer sales and other local market opportunities.
Join us for the Wichita workshop on February 1st from 9am to 4pm at the Sedgwick County Extension Education Center.
Cost is $25 now through January 24th and $30 after January 24th.

Beautiful stand of winter rye cover crop getting mowed off today. Check out the cores left by the radish. Going to no-till our summer cover crop right into the stubble.

I guess I can drive a straight line! Seed roots have been down for one week. One more week under the plastic and they should start breaking through the soil surface.
