Boarding rates for dogs are $30 per night
Boarding dogs are encouraged to participate in daycare group play sessions. Cat boarding rate is $15 per day

When boarding your animal with us

you should bring their food and medications. If your animal is not neutered they may not play in group play. If your animal is not spayed and not in the midst of a heat cycle they may play. If your animal is not social and does not interact well with others we MUST be notified upon check in. All dogs are welcome regardless of their social skills, and individual outdoor play times will be offered when necessary. In order to allow time for us to book the space that we had reserved for your pet, we need at least a 24-hour notice during weekdays, and 48 hour notice over weekends and holidays.

And this information may very well explain why on more than one occasion when we have switched a dog from processed foods to a raw diet, a seizure disorder has cleared up. I wouldn't go so far as to claim that a raw diet will clear up all seizures, but it certainly has been (from our experience) worth a try!

Could your dog’s gut be triggering their seizures?🦠

More and more pet parents are learning that epilepsy isn’t just a brain issue, it might start in the belly.

🧠💥 A new study shows that dogs with epilepsy have very different gut bacteria than healthy pups, revealing that epileptic dogs have disrupted gut bacteria. That’s a big deal because other studies have already shown that MCT-enriched diets can reduce seizures. Could part of the benefit come from healing the gut? That’s what researchers are now starting to explore.

🎙️ Today at 12pm EST on the Inside Scoop, we break down the science of this study, and a few others:
✔️ Foods and C🐝D for seizure control
✔️ How early spay & neutering can affect join health
✔️ 94% of homemade dog diets are lacking essential nutrients...we break down what's missing
..plus much more!

UPDATE: They have a pending adoption!

We cannot believe these two haven't found a home yet!!

An anonymous donor has paid $200 of their total adoption fee!

They are bonded but would do okay being adopted into different homes too!

They are both fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated.
They are 6 years old.

Meet Buck!
This 100lb purebred yellow lab is the definition of a gentle giant. He greets everyone with a gift in his mouth (usually a stuffed animal!) and is happiest right by your side. Buck loves car rides, side by side adventures, and splashing in the lake and pool. He's potty trained, adores belly rubs, and thinks the best place to sleep is right in bed with you. Fetch is fun for a few rounds, but snuggling is his true sport. Not a hunting dog-loud noises and guns aren't his thing-just a big-hearted companion looking for a loving home!

Meet Oakley!
Oakley may seem a bit aloof at first, but once he warms up, he's all in! This handsome guy knows how to sit, give 5, and shake, and he's always ready for an adventure-whether it's a truck ride, a side by side cruise, or a run with his brother. He's a true water lover and will happily play fetch for as long as you'll throw, though he's not quick to part with his favorite stuffed toys. Energetic and affectionate, Oakley soaks up head and ear scratches, but brushing isn't his favorite. He's potty trained, will ring a bell to go out, and enjoys spending most of his time outdoors. Loud noises and guns aren't for him, and he can be a little mischievous at times-just enough to keep you smiling. Oakley's looking for a home that loves adventure, water fun, and a loyal companion by their side.

To meet these boys, call us at 218-632-5938, and submit an application on our website!

Please read the last paragraph. This document refers to the Vanguard Rabies Vaccine, but I would suspect all vaccines carry a similar warning. This photo was shared by a holistic veterinarian. If/when you are using vaccines, please be aware and advocate for your pets! Never allow a pet that is compromised to be vaccinated.

"Our research indicated that dogs fed a non-processed meat-based diet during the weaning period, puppyhood, and adolescence, which corresponds to the age range of 1 month to 1 or 1.5 years, were associated with a significantly lower risk of developing DC later in life. Conversely, dogs consumed an ultra-processed carbohydrate-based diet during the same periods was associated with a significantly higher risk (p = 0.01, p = 0.001, and p = 0.02 for weaning, puppyhood, and adolescence, respectively). Additionally, residing with other dogs was significantly associated with a decreased likelihood of DC development later in life (p = 0.015). Moreover, from the non-modifiable factors model, a maternal history of DC and small size of the dog were strongly associated with an increased risk of DC development later in life."
