Misty’s Rescue Story/Then and Now
In 2018 I was sitting by a stop sign in a rural part of west Texas. It had started to rain, and I was getting wet.
A man and his wife pulled up and looked at me. I gave them a help me look? I was only 6 months old when I was dumped.
The couple asked me if I wanted to get into the car. I did, so I ran right towards and jumped in their truck. This began my new life. No more looking for food and shelter. Also, felt their immediate love and I felt the same.
Mom and dad moved to east Texas in 2020. I started a page with our new lives in our forever home. I post daily stories and send Christmas cards to about 50 Facebook friends. I got thirty cards myself last year. I love Christmas.
During the day at my new house, I watch birds and squirrels from the front window in the house. Deer would occasionally come by and look in the window. This new home was so much fun. I stay indoors where it is always comfortable.
Mom and dad started taking me everywhere they went. Soon, the lady at the bank started giving me a doggie treat and the pharmacy did the same. Then, we stopped for coffee, and they gave me a pup cup. Its whipped cream in a bowl with bacon bits. It’s delicious. Off to Quitman, we stopped often at a convenience store. I met Shelia and she started to come out to the car with Slim Jim. Everyone knows me in our area.
Being a rescued dog is the best life. Parents really take care of their new pet. All doggies know how lucky we are to have been rescued.
Laura, I watched your show and got your email address. I hope you enjoy my story.
Love, Misty
