Had to share the last little bit of my childhood memories that are left of a place owned by my uncle, where my dad was a baker along with my grandma, my aunts were waitresses and Apple Fritter truck drivers (food trucks before there were food trucks) going to construction sites etc. this sign hung up outside the bakery pointing towards the restrooms. It was hand painted by a neighbor and friend of the family. I believe he painted the lettering on the trucks also. I remember the apple fritters being the size of a persons head with so much glaze and chunks of apples in them. I loved in the summer when the trucks came back I would help unload and my Aunt Joanna or my grandma would pay me with a donut and an ice tea. So many memories of a life I once lived with the people that mattered so much to me.

What I wouldn’t do for a Stuckey’s Donut!!

I just haven’t had the time or I kept forgetting to feed the starter. So I tried two different feeds last night. One like what was given to me by (by the way check out their classes) and one 1:3:3. The 1:3:3 took a long time to grow and fall and just refer that one a 1:5:5 took see how that goes because it’s a different consistency then this one.

One pepperoni and cheese and one bbq chicken with onion and a couple pepperoni I had left over. Wasn’t to bad. Maybe a little more seasoning. But I’d do it again.
