Thank you for asking about Doug…
He was 9 1/2. No, we didn’t know he was sick…until he was. He was happily out for his walk a few hours earlier. He had a mass on his spleen that ruptured and bleed into his abdomen. Hemangiosarcoma. An aggressive cancer that doesn’t rear its ugly head until it’s too late. It was awful but he held on for all his humans to get there and love on him. He wagged his tail as he saw each of them come in and crossed over surrounded by love.
Roz is definitely missing him & she is scheduled for surgery the week before Christmas. Please just send all the positive energy to her you can.

My Doug crossed the rainbow bridge unexpectedly last night. I’ve decided to take a few days off to spend with Roz and get myself together. I will be back Wednesday.

I said goodbye to these sisters today. After several years of walks, they are moving up north. I’m going to miss their ‘talking’, sass and antics (some of you may remember my story of Adia grabbing a homeless man’s sandwich out of his backpack)
