Today was a heartbreaking day for me.
I want to share a little story to help others understand why most breeders choose to take deposits on puppies.
Three weeks ago I spoke with a lady, a social worker, she was looking for a potential therapy dog to bring to school with her. This was so exciting for me as I love to see our dogs thriving in working homes. I thought he'd be a good candidate so we talked at length multiple times. I spent a lot of time doing different tests with him and sending her videos of everything. He handled everything amazingly and passed every test with flying colors. She was happy and I was so excited to watch him thrive in this role!!! She had asked about the deposit, I said, "don't worry about it, you seem like a trustworthy person and I'm not worrying about you flaking out." Well was I wrong. Today comes around, she doesn't show, I'm worried. I call, straight to Voicemail. Text. No response. FB messenger, BLOCKED.
We talked last night about her coming today. I gave lots of information and directions to my home... We talked about what kind of bells to get for potty training even.... So now I've turned away people that were interested in this boy. He's 13 weeks old. If you're interested in loving him please let me know. He is doing fantastic here. He is crate trained, doing well potty training, and is ready for a lap of his own. I wish people could just be honest.
