**Talent starts with the mind.**

There was a time when this horse simply wasn’t sure he wanted to be a reiner. He lacked confidence in himself and in the job being asked of him.

Tabitha didn’t give up on him.

She kept showing up. Kept listening. Kept asking for a little more. And, most importantly, kept giving him reasons to believe he could do the job.

They didn’t build this horse in one ride. They built him one confident decision at a time.

Yesterday, all of that work showed up in the show pen.

**The check is nice. The win is exciting. But what matters most is what it reinforces about the program: confidence matters. The mind matters. And when you take the time to build those first, the performance can follow.**

The power of yellow mares. 💛

Oliver—by Down Right Amazing and out of Steppin Up Wimpy, our Jenna—is one lucky c**t. Along with Jenna as his biological mom, he has had the steady influence of Chick, his recipient mom and a daughter of Shiners Voodoo Dr. Chick is one cool cucumber, and her calm, confident nature is already helping shape Oliver into such a special young horse.
