URGENT courtesy post for Ember. She is in boarding but finder can no longer afford cost of boarding (understandably so as she has spent over $1000 to keep her safe and warm there).
Please share to avoid that she has to go to the local shelter which is full. Finder cannot keep at house because she has other dogs :(
Meet Ember
Courtesy Post
Meet Ember! She's a 1-2 yo mixed breed pup and her story started out sad, but with your help we can make her future bright!
A Good Samaritan, Melanie, found Ember tied to a tree with a note saying her owner could no longer care for her. Melanie took her to a family member's back yard because her own home was full of pets and she was worried that shelters are very overcrowded.
Ember stayed there initially then was moved to a kennel due to the cold weather.
Melanie has been committed to helping Ember have a happy ending to her story!
We are assisting by courtesy posting her and are seeking a rescue that has space for Ember, for a foster through AAHA or for an adopter. She has been in kenneling for several weeks now and is progressing very well!

The most recent report the week of 12/17/23:
Ember is becoming more comfortable with all new things while spending time at the boarding kennel! She is so happy to be out of the cold elements!
Ember would thrive in a home as the only pet right now as she is learning doggie social skills. She's very smart! She warms up quickly to new staff!
