Eugene aka Gene the Ween aka Geno - the newest addition to our cat crew 😎 He’s a CHARACTER for sure, a bit of a trouble maker, but overall a very chill, playful dude. 🖤🤍🖤🤍 He definitely lashes out a lot LESS than he used to - typically when he’s frustrated, or if another cat is upset, he becomes upset and will transfer that aggression to you. He doesn’t have a lot of teeth so most of his bites are just gummy but if he’s lucky, he can still draw blood lol. We are still very happy he’s here 🥰

FeLV sucks. (Long post incoming because I have feelings 😮‍💨) Cats that contract progressive FeLV deserve so much better and it’s not fair. This is Blaze - he is a very well loved community cat who got dealt a s**t hand in the FeLV department. The first picture is him with his caretaker earlier this year and the next picture is him today. You can see the toll this disease took on sweet Blaze, who was making biscuits when he had blood drawn today. Blaze will be crossing the rainbow bridge tomorrow to join his mama, Goldie 🌈 Sending all my love to and family, thank you for showing this boy unconditional love and advocating for him when he needed help.

The last few days I have been so desperate to find help for Blaze - assuming something was very wrong but looking for evidence to backup my assumptions. I do understand not every rescue can say “yes” to every request but I am so incredibly thankful to for not hesitating to take Blaze in and help him, even if the only way we can help him is to free him from his suffering. CT Cat Connection has helped me with a billion cats (of Hartford) in addition to Blaze - please consider donating to their organization and help them say “yes” as often as possible. ❤️‍🩹

Incredibly thankful to the faculty at Trinity College who saw these little guys huddled together in the snow and brought them inside 🧡 The 3-month old brothers got a clean bill of health yesterday and went to a foster home through 🥰 How very lucky they are!

🌿 Meet Fern 🌿 Named for the impending winter storm, this little girl will have the luxury of watching the snow fall from inside. I received messages from two different parties after Fern was spotted hanging out behind an office building on Asylum St - thanks to a group effort, she was quickly taken in and I picked her up this morning! She’s skinny, a little sick, but so happy for a warm bed and regular meals.

She will hang at my house and start getting meds under the care of . Thank you to everyone that helped get her to safety 💗

The sweetest new friend 🥹 we haven’t named him, and might let his new foster home have the honor of doing so, but oh he’s such a precious angel 🥰

One week with Dusty! I don’t know how old he is, but he has the personality of a grumpy old man 😂 He is likely still in some pain from his teeth, but his legs/tail are healing slowly and we’re not noticing little blood spots on his bedding anymore 🤞🏼 Despite his sore mouth, he’s a CHAMPION eater! He gets a little crazy at feeding time, possibly due to not always having access to food when he’s been hungry 😔 I think with time he will calm down a little. Volume up on the last slide for purrrrrrrrrrs and a glimpse of his belly 🥰
