You might have noticed that I have changed around a few things!

I had to take some time off through the winter to re-evaluate some things and find ways to come back and offer you training and services that are better than ever!

Stay tuned for some announcements! Hope to be able to meet everyone and work together soon.

Have a puppy that would benefit from just one session? Maybe you have a puppy that just is having one issue and doesn't need a lot of help, I'm also helping those people as well! Those single topic, weekly classes aren't designed for puppies. For puppies that aren't having any major issues and may just need help with one thing, you can take advantage of one puppy session at just $50!! Message me for more information on puppy classes!

Weekly single topic class details!

Pulling On Leash: this class covers the steps necessary to control your dog while walking on a leash and to stop that dreaded pulling, making walks much nicer! *No reactive/aggressive dogs, please!*

Recall Class: this class will cover what to do to stop your dog from bolting out of the door and building a solid recall command. *No reactive/aggressive dogs, please!*

Excessive Barking: this class will cover what to do with a dog that just doesn't know how to be quiet and ways that you can help your pooch learn to be a more quiet, fulfilled dog. *No reactive/aggressive dogs, please!*

Jumping Up: this class covers how to address dogs that just get too excited when greeting new people and show their love by jumping up on people. *No reactive/aggressive dogs, please!*

The cost for attending these classes is $40 per dog, per class. If you have a dog that would benefit from multiple classes, we will provide a multiple class discount. In that case, the first class is $40; second class is $30; 3rd and 4th class is $25 each. We are also doing a microchip promotion that if your dog is not currently microchipped and you would like him/her to be, a FREE microchip will be provided at the end of the class and registration of this microchip will also not cost you any yearly fees. You will also receive a printed certificate of completion of the class with your dog's name, as well!

Each class is limited to only 10 dogs, so spots are LIMITED! I also require that ONLY the owner and dog to be at the class so as to keep chaos to a minimum. No kids, please. In order to maximize as much learning as possible and to make this a good experience for you and your dog, these rules need to be followed. The only equipment that you will need for your dog is a collar, 6 ft leash, and your dog's favorite treats!

In order to book your slot to make sure that you are one of the lucky ones that get to experience this fun night, there is a $25 reservation fee! If you are ready to get your slot reserved, send me a message. The building is being reserved TOMORROW so official dates to be announced very soon!

There's a real crisis in this world with our dogs, no matter the posturing that these popular dog trainers will do in order to make you buy into their training philosophies. They will do and say anything in the world to make you think that their method is the best and is better than the other trainer's, because at the end of the day, all that matters to them is the money and not the well being of the dogs. And I can't speak for other trainers, but for myself and for most other dog trainers, the entire reason that we got into dog training was because we enjoy being around dogs and helping dogs.

If you have spent any length of time on social media in the dog training groups/circles here recently, you've most likely seen or heard of the drama surrounding some of these dog trainers. I'm not here to add to any drama or call any names, but this drama has to stop. We aren't helping any dogs by sitting here and fighting with each other over semantics on training methods online.

Force free, balanced training, etc etc etc is what is truly hurting our dogs. There is no such thing. I'm not either one of those. I'm simply a dog trainer! I believe in using FAIR communication with dogs and you simply cannot have fair communication with a dog without having corrections at some point in it's training journey. Attempting to train dogs without any corrections at all is simply setting dogs up for failure and is what is causing dogs to perish all over the world and is teaching them nothing. Dogs NEED structure and they NEED fair communication and they need a fair leader to teach them. There is a very clear difference between fair corrections and abuse. Training should always start out very positive and with treats and toys etc. But you should also not be afraid to use corrections when you see your dog start to misbehave after they have been properly taught the rules and guidelines to live by. If you don't, you will be developing a liability to the public and your own family! I refuse to slap a label on myself, because at the end of the day, I will use tools from my toolbox that best suits the dog at the end of the leash in front of me to get the best results for that individual dog to make it the best dog possible and in the safest way possible. I will ALWAYS choose relationship based dog training FIRST and choose the best way to train a dog that end of the day makes that dog the happiest.

So I am urging people to stop asking trainers what type of dog trainer they are. It doesn't matter. Look at their results. Are the dogs happy? Are the dogs safe members of society? If so, it doesn't matter what label others call them. They've done a great job training that dog.

If you are looking for a trainer that just cranks out numbers and you're just another client to them and they don't really care about you or your dog, I'm not the trainer for you.

If you are looking for a dog trainer that has a standard, cookie cutter approach to training and trains every single dog the same exact way and cannot adapt and change their training methods to fit the dog in front of them, I'm not the trainer for you.

If you are looking for a dog trainer that will allow you to just drop your dog off and not be involved in the progress of your dog, I'm not the dog trainer for you.

However, if you are looking for a dog trainer that will help you to take your relationship with your dog above and beyond what you ever thought possible, I AM the dog trainer for you! But, I require a certain level of compliance from my clients and if you aren't going to commit to that, I will know because the dog always tattles on those that don't do their homework! And don't stress, because it isn't much. Literally what I expect is MAYBE 10 minutes per day with your dog.

I am able to do all that I do with my own dogs and others' dogs, because I don't push the dog into learning in one certain style. Not every dog will learn best in one certain fashion. A good trainer will be able to read the dog in front of him/her and know to listen to their dog and know when things just aren't working. They will adapt and overcome.

I will teach you how to train and maintain that training, but you have to be willing to commit to just 10 minutes per day with your dog and put in that amount of work in order for me to be the right trainer for you. For the REALLY great clients, they will go above and beyond my expectations and it shows in their dogs!

Happy training!

This might just look like some fun little position changes to other people, but this is actually more than that. By doing this and enforcing proper positioning, I am also helping her physical fitness as well!
