Not sure what brushes to use at home? 🐾

For long, fluffy, curly, or easily tangled coats, a slicker brush + metal comb is one of the best combos for helping prevent mats between grooming appointments.

Great for breeds/coat types like:
• Shih Tzus
• Maltese
• Yorkies
• Havanese
• Bichons
• Poodles & doodle-type coats
• Long or fluffy mixed breeds

How to use them:
Start with the slicker brush and gently work through the coat in small sections, brushing from the skin outward without scraping the skin. Then follow with your metal comb. If the comb glides all the way through to the skin without catching, you’re good! If it catches, go back over that section with the slicker.

Pay extra attention behind the ears, under the legs, around collars and harnesses, the tail, and legs—these areas tend to tangle quickly.

Have a wiggly pup? A lick mat with a dog-safe treat can be a great distraction while you brush and help make grooming at home a more positive experience.
