Our Paws & Pose Calendar Contest is over in less than 48 hours. You have until 8pm TOMORROW (Wednesday) to enter, vote, and lock your favorite pet into our 2027 calendar.

First place receives the calendar cover and their choice of month. The top twelve will get a featured month in the calendar, and a photoshoot at HSHA with H. Forsyth Photography .

We are celebrating an AMAZING 99 adoptions last week! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’œ

Over the last week we saw dogs, cats, kittens, puppies, and small animals find their new families. There were so many smiling faces of humans and pets alike.

Adoptions included our longest resident, Maxine! After spending several months in a foster home, her foster parents decided they simply could not let her go. ๐Ÿ’œ

Thank you to each and every adopter and supporter that allows these adoptions to happen each and ever week!

From carrying 3 pounds of painful, matted fur while wandering the streets of Southern California to getting a fresh start on the East Coast, Sully has come a long way. After being rescued, groomed, and given the care he desperately needed, this sweet 1-year-old finally got to show everyone the happy, playful pup hiding underneath.

Now at our sister shelter, the Animal Adoption Center in New Jersey, Sully is ready for the best chapter yet: a family of his own. Stories like Sully's are possible because of you.
