I love this time of year. Seeing the brown dissappear and flowers bloom under our sign makes me smile. It's bittersweet this spring because next year we will be in our new location at 3712 N 6th St. There is much to appreciate about a newly renovated and larger space, but my heart aches at the thought of this transition. Thank you for being on this journey with us. Your support is a blessing. ❤️ Kristen

Here she is! Our "rescue building" at 3712 North 6th Street. It will be our new home at the END of 2025! (crossing my fingers!) Obviously, there is a complete renovation on the way. But first, the demo. This weekend, we will be removing the drop ceiling and wood paneling to create a blank canvass for the upcoming renovations! We're going to show this former 1960's furniture store lots of love and give the neighborhood something nice to look at as they drive through our neighborhood, while still maintaining the warmth and quaintness of our current home of 40 years.

This investment is larger than a business venture. We believe in making things better in the community where we live. Buildings need love, just like the pets we rescue. They hold value and, with time, patience and love they can thrive.

We hope you'll come along on the journey this year and keep us in your prayers. Don't worry. We don't intend to close at any point.

Junior Mint and Moonpie are hamsters that belong to one of our customers. We never get to see most of the smaller critters because they don't get to visit. I just had to show them off. Aren't they adorable? Feel free to share a photo of your small or exotic pets. We care about them, too!

THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG!

Dear friends,
The time has come for us to move on from our sweet, little store that we've loved and cherished for four decades. The GOOD NEWS is, we're only going two blocks!

We've been struggling with the stairs for years and, honestly, we're not getting any younger. So, we're going to one-level living! We will have more space to spread out and improved lighting, shelving, and a new grooming shop. (A few more surprises are in store for you!)

It is going to be an adjustment but we are committed to making it a seamless transition for everyone. Thank you for supporting us and loving us through the years. We're grateful for our community. We love you!❤️🐾

Oh, RATS!!!! These adorable boys are available at the Humane Society of Harrisburg! Rats are lovely pets, but they do require attention, interaction, and regular cleaning. They deserve a loving, dedicated family, too.❤️
