Founded in 1996, we're located northwest of Harrington, Delaware. We offer AKC registered, working lines German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois puppies. Puppies available when we breed...please check with us often. We offer that too as well as problem solving. Our training uses real world scenarios and not sport venue work to help shape your pet. We train with the Delmarva German Shepherd Dog Club.

Bite pressure and pain is real. You will want it to stop as fast as it started. When the train dog contacts the bad person, all the foolishness they brought will ends. Lessons in RESPECT are real and so is the dog.

They post the ads claiming to have "working lines" and so what are they DOING with those dogs? Ah...letting them crank out puppies to pay their electric, phone, and household bills.

Yes, we are a working lines German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois kennel.
No, we don't count on our dogs to breed and pay our bills. After years of hard work and proper investing, puppy money isn't in our portfolio for bills and new stuff. Manage your income and you can do just fine without breeding the life out of your pets!

Sad news from our farm.
On Wednesday, February the 12th, we had to put our foundation therapy dog down. Gaines Farm Pepper Was a great dual certified therapy dog and great club demo dog. She never had a mean bone in her body. A tough loss. Happy Trails Pepper.

Gaines Farm and Kennels was founded in 1996. We’re located on a 35 acre small grains and Christmas Tree farm northwest of Harrington, Delaware, about two miles west of Callaway Furniture off RT. 13.
As a small scale working lines German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois kennel, we do what many in our area DON’T DO...work their dogs! Our puppies should be viewed as prospects for many of the K-9 sport venues, therapy and service dog needs, trusted family companion, personal and estate protection, law enforcement/security applications, and S&R.
We purchase either American or European bred animals that come from established working lines kennels. Our imports have their AKC DNA profile done before they’re bred. We work with clearheaded animals that are able to function in many different venues.
Here’s an important point to note...this isn’t a heavy breeding or puppy mill operation.
Our kennel puts training in every dog or puppy we own. As a former Schutzhund DVG Trial Helper and Qualified Training director and currently a AKC CGC Evaluator, I want to see what our dogs can do...this is where real world applications come in. If your pet isn’t safe enough to take shopping or walks in the park, what do you really have there? It’s a K-9 TIME BOMB! We train with the Delmarva German Shepherd Dog Club in Harrington, Delaware.
Working our dogs means many things, we can see how the genetics come out in daily applications, we can see how our puppies are developing through club training, and we can help guide folks into the best puppy fit when it comes to making a purchase.
Two of our adult German Shepherds have their AKC Therapy Dog Novice title on them and are National Capital Therapy Dog certified. We also have a working lines Belgian Malinois that is a certified therapy dog and all do protection training. Yes, working lines animals that can function from different ends of the spectrum and aren’t half trained.
