Ta’Koda 90 days in! We’re thankful to all who have supported him from afar, and of course Asombro’s strength & survival pushing us to pay it forward.

Definitely recommend these solar string lights. We put them up in the barn not as a main light source; just something to keep the stalls from being so dark. They are better than I expected. You can change the brightness & turn on/off with remote and also set timer for when they turn on & off every day automatically. Since these worked so well I’ve ordered more for our backyard area plus some solar arena lights.
Second picture was taken from my back porch about 130ft from the barn.

Sorry for the late update, we’ve been crazy busy around here.
Asombro was stung/bitten by some kind of insect and rubbed his face against one one of our large pecan trees (I found his hair after the vet gave his diagnosis & thoughts.) He clearly went a little too extreme and had a reaction. He’s on some antibiotics and topical ointment for pain/itch relief. The swelling has already gone down tremendously and looking much better. It doesn’t seem to phase him whatsoever now.
Horses will be horses! 🐴

We have cleaned it and putting ointment on now, anyone seen this ??

***UPDATE***
Thank you to all who gave their feedback. I contacted my vet before even making this video, but he was out of town and it was Sunday. We didn’t feel it was an emergency or we would’ve gone to Auburn University. He was seen the following day and given antibiotics to prevent any secondary infection and pain relief/antihistamine ointment applied daily. He was stung by some kind of insect and rubbed his face against a pecan tree (we found the hair/skin on tree)

Enjoying his new grass turn out all to himself and keeping eyes on his little sisters from a distance at the same time 😂

Asombro (and other geldings) new turn out paddock for grazing during the day. Thanks so much to my aunt Lova (also lives on the family farm) for putting in all the posts while the rest of us were working on another big project today. Just have to put up a gate, the fence charger and run electric wire! This will be great for him as he transitions to stall rest over night to take things slow with his riding training.
