Dogs often bark, whine, or paw you when you're on the phone because they want your attention. Be proactive and teach your dog a better way to respond.

Meet Poppy! โ˜บ๏ธ Poppy is a nervous little lady. She has been working on her fear of people approaching her and touching her in her classes as well as her basic skills. In the photos, Poppy is working on her place command in public. This behavior is helping her have more confidence around strangers by giving her a safe spot. โ˜บ๏ธ In just a few sessions, Poppy has gone from being terrified around people to being consistent with sit, down, stay, place, leave it, come, and "go say hi" in public. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Great job Poppy!!! Her next goal is preparing for her Canine Good Citizen Test ๐Ÿค—๐ŸŽ‰ Keep up the hard work!!!

๐Ÿ˜žUnexpected News for Our Girls โ˜น๏ธ
Yesterday, we received some tough news that we weren't expecting. As part of our routine precaution before sterilization surgery, we ran bloodwork on seven of our large breed dogs. Unfortunately, four of our girls tested positive for underlying conditions:
โ€ข Francine: Positive for both Tick Disease and Heartworms
โ€ข Olive: Heartworm positive
โ€ข Stacy: Heartworm positive
โ€ข Dottie: Tick Disease positive
We are committed to getting them back to full health so they can start their second chances, but we can't do it alone. If you are able to donate, every bit goes directly toward their treatment and recovery. Thank you for standing by us and these sweet girls.

Socializing your dog can be tough, so here is a list to help you all keep track! ๐Ÿ™Œ Remember, socialization should be fun and controlled. Start at a distance first, and get closer once your dog is comfortable. Don't forget to bring plenty of treats to reward when your dog relaxes, walks by, sits, or lays down when any of the listed items or people are present ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿถ

This list doesn't cover everything, but it's a great place to start๐Ÿค—
