Sea Dog Kennels

Sea Dog Kennels Over 25 years ago our family began breeding Airedales on our country acreage in Pennsylvania. Our family loves and enjoys all kinds of animals.

We raise healthy, playful, mischievous PWD (Portuguese Water Dog) and BWD (Bernese Water Dog) puppies on a diet of exercise, fun and love, all in the country sunshine. Our kids were always responsible for all our animals & it was too much work for us to continue at that time on our own. (If you want your kids to grown into super mature and caring adults we strongly recommend animals in their lives

for them to nurture and love while growing up.) We’ve had many good loving dogs over the years. Also horses & their colts, a wonderful mule, goats, sheep, chickens, parrots and other animals throughout the past 33+ years of being married. We were foster parents for both children and race horses during some of those years while running a manufacturing company with 200 employees. Planning for our retirement in our mid fifties we decided we really missed having and loving puppies. Since puppies don’t stay puppies forever we decided on getting back into breeding. Well actually Michael thought it would be a nice little hobby to keep me busy and out of trouble. We researched well behaved, good loving temperaments, intelligent and non shedding breeds and decided that PWD's were the best breed in the world & exactly what we were looking for. Because of them we have the best, happiest and most entertaining life on a daily basis imaginable. We raise healthy, playful, mischievous PWD and BWD puppies on a diet of exercise, fun and love, all in the country sunshine. Our mix of European and American bloodlines strive to reproduce the quality of temperament that the breed originally possessed.

Our crazy, sweet, smart, naughty, loving, funny Georgie Girl turns one today (Mia and Mowgli). She has completely taken over our hearts and our home. She has a mind of her own and spirit to match. She loves to be the center of attention and loves to be out in nature running and playing.

We lost our sweet Sailor this week. She was 16 years old and always a character. We loved her unconditionally and she was such a HUGE piece of Sea Dog Kennels and will never be forgotten!

Sailor was the mother to many litters, that have definitely spread so much happiness throughout the years.
If anyone has pictures of your dogs that are from her legacy please feel free to share.

Who else has a summer sea dog ? We would LOVE more pictures, videos and updates !

Puppy Jolene is doing well! She visited the vet yesterday, and will return in three weeks. She is absolutely darling, and Plummy is coming around to her. They play together! She likes to give a funny little hop or series of pounces when she is feeling playful!

Charlie is doing fantastic. He is growing so fast - 14pounds yesterday!! He eats a combination of Biljacks Puppy Food and Adirondack Puppy food. He gets boiled chicken with his lunch and dinner, enjoys frozen peas as rewards, and LOVES to eat and play with both carrots and ice cubes.

He gets LOTS of play time with us and puppy play dates with family and friends’ pups. We also brought him to the boardwalk at the beach the other day - looking forward to when he is older and can go swimming too!!!

Our kids were always responsible for all our animals & it was too much work for us to continue at that time on our own.
