We founded our group in honor of a dear little dachshund named Sophia Grace. Sophia was a sweet little 12-year old dachshund who was rescued from a situation where she spent all her life without receiving any medical care. When she came into rescue she was severely malnourished, sickly and had to have nearly all her teeth pulled. Through the "Grace" of so many selfless contributors we were able to

get her the medical care that she so badly needed, and had been denied all her 12 years on earth. Sophia Grace lived out her final years in her forever home in Michigan where she thrived and grew stronger each day. It is in her honor that we founded our organization, and we will honor her with every dachshund we are able to help now and for many years to come!

Meet Jamocha! 🐾

He's a survivor from a hoarding situation who's ready for a calmer life... just not too calm.

The Deets:
✅ Loves: Attention, laps, pets, other dogs.
❌ Needs: A fenced yard (he's got places to be, maybe), and at least one other dog in the home (he's a pack animal!).

He'll give a polite "woof" when you have company, then quickly return to his true passion: being your shadow. He's the sweetest, cuddliest boy looking for a family that can keep up with his social calendar (which is mostly napping with friends). 😁

This gorgeous 8-month-old Chiweenie girl came to us from a hoarding situation and a very crowded shelter. Despite a rough start, her spirit is unshaken! Autumn may be small, but her capacity for love is enormous. 💖

She's a little shy when you first meet her, asking for patience and gentle vibes as she learns that the world can be a wonderful place. But once she trusts you? Get ready for a playful, loyal, and utterly cuddly companion to see you through every season!

Because she's never been alone, Autumn will need a confident canine sibling in her forever home to show her the ropes (and the best sunny spots for napping!). 😴

Hi, I'm Honey! 🍯 I'm a sweet rescue dog looking for my forever home.

I love zooming around a yard more than anything! After some surgery (I'm all healed!), my first run was the BEST day ever. I'm also a champion cuddler and a very good girl who knows ‘sit’ and ‘come’. ☺️

I'm working on sharing my food and my favorite human, but I'm a quick learner with a patient family!

My dream home has a fenced yard and a calm dog friend. I can't wait to find a family to love! 💕🐾

THESE TWO SWEET DOGS WILL BE SENT TO A KILL SHELTER TO BE EUTHANIZED IF WE DO NOT GET THEM BY SUNDAY!

They were heartlessly abandoned by their owner and are now out of time. We have a rescue plan, but we need immediate help to execute it!

🐶 ZIGGY: Dachshund Mix. A long term foster is lined up, but they are out of town until Sept. 28. WE NEED A TEMPORARY OR LONG TERM FOSTER HOME FOR ZIGGY!

🐶 CHIHUAHUA: We have a foster home secured in Amherst, OH, but we need transport.

WE NEED:

1. A TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT FOSTER for ZIGGY.
2. A VOLUNTEER who can help transport the Chihuahua to his foster home in Amherst, OH.

While these three are covered, we still have many other animals waiting for their temporary heroes. We are always seeking new foster homes in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Maryland!

Three beloved dachshunds need our help due to a sudden and difficult circumstance. Their owner has been hospitalized and will unfortunately not be able to care for them again. We are rallying to keep these sweet pups out of the shelter and in a loving home while we find them a forever future.

Meet the Pack:

💙 Deeno, Takoda, and River are all estimated to be 10-11 years young.
💜 They are all spayed/neutered and have been incredibly well-loved and cared for their entire lives.
💚 These are cherished house dogs who are confused and missing their person.

What we know:
✅ Great with kids! They have been around children and did wonderfully.
❓ Other dogs/cats: Their history with other animals is unknown. They have each other for comfort.

These loyal seniors deserve peace and comfort in their golden years after a lifetime of love. Can you offer a temporary soft landing for them?

Remember Cormac? Well, now known as Ralph, he’s been hitting the books! His amazing family signed him up for puppy school and he just GRADUATED! 🥳

His family never had a dog trained beyond the basics, so this is a huge deal. They are so unbelievably proud of this smart, good boy and we are so grateful he landed with a family who gives him the world. Way to go, Ralph! ❤️
