Don’t force socialization. Not all dogs love to interact with every dog and human they meet. That doesn’t make them a bad dog. Letting them or teaching them to remain neutral around strangers can make for a great companion.

🚗We love to take our dogs with us on trips. When staying at a hotel or AirBnB 🏠 , the PLACE command is very useful.

It can help dogs settle in a familiar way. It can also help with barking for those they like to announce every sound they hear 📣.

It also allows us to RESPECT the people and places that are kind enough to allow our dogs to stay with us. They don’t want our dogs all over the furniture 🛋️ and neither do the people that stay after us. 😣

The more respectful we are with our dogs, the more likely we are to continue to have dog friendly places to stay. 🐶.

The PLACE command is just one way training can contribute to smooth traveling with our pups 🐾.
