"A Park For Paws: Hancock's Heart"
In the village of Hancock, NY where rivers gleam,
A dream took shape, a joyful scheme,
With hearts aligned and hands to lend,
The folks came forth, their spirits blend.
From whispered plans in coffee shops,
To vibrant talks that never stopped,
They gathered round with purpose clear,
To build a park that all could cheer.
The grassy fields began to bloom,
As laughter chased away the gloom;
Each shovelâs bite and hammer's sound,
Reshaped the earth on hallowed ground.
Children danced while dogs would bark,
Excitement grew within the park;
With every post and fence they placed,
A space for joy was lovingly graced.
Neighbors shared their dreams and schemesâ
Of playful pups and sunlit beams;
They painted benches bright and bold,
Creating warmth as stories told.
Then came the day when gates swung wide,
With tails a-wagging dogs poured inside;
They raced through trails with glee unboundâ
In this new haven joy was found.
The air was filled with joyous yipsâ
And laughter flowed from happy lips;
For every pup beneath the skyâ
Found friendship there as days went by.
So here in Hancockâs cherished heart,
A dog park standsâa work of art;
Itâs not just grass or wood that gleamsâ
But love transformed into shared dreams.
Together strong through toil and sweatâ
This bond we formed we'll neâer forget;
For in each bark and wagging tailâ
Is proof of love that will prevail.
