A couple of weeks ago we lost our last breeding female, Elly May. I have no idea what happened. One evening she was fine, the next she was bleeding from her mouth and dead. I don't think we'll be looking for another female. John isn't well enough to hunt them and I'm getting to where it's more than I can handle just feeding and watering the animals. Every since I had covid, I just don't have the energy to do much at all.
We appreciate everyone's support over the years and all those who adopted one of our blue tick puppies. I hope everyone loves them as much as we do and they bring you years of bone chilling howls hot on the hunt.
If we decide to get another breeder female, I will certainly inform you all. Until then, happy hunting.

I'm currently trying to get Elly May bred with Bandit. Not 100% sure she's in season but Bandit seems to be interested and she is finally acting receptive. We will see. PM me if you are interested should she take.
Full blooded registered blue ticks out of Rambo II bloodlines will be $450. Once they are born, I'll start taking deposits.
Cross your fingers we get puppies in a few months.

This hot weather can be hard on hounds that are kenneled. I have a boy who walks my dogs but being kenneled, they don't get much opportunity to really cool off. My remedy is to go out there and soak them down with cool water as I fill their water and spray their cages. I've also been known to clean out my freezer of old meat and give them the frozen meat. I also freeze water bottles and put them in their water buckets.
Does anyone else have ideas about making kenneled dogs more comfortable in the summer heat?

Well it seems our Lucy snuck one in on us when she got out of her kennel a while back and made herself a new boyfriend out of our mountain cur squirrel dog, Sam. She is heavy with puppies currently and I would guess will be having her puppies in a week or two if not sooner. If anyone is interested in half blue tick/mountain cur puppies we will be selling them for $200 when ready. They should have some fantastic noses on them and be smart, easy to train hunting dogs. If you are interested be sure to message me to get on the list to reserve yours. Once they are born, I will message you with the date they will be ready and start taking deposits to reserve your puppy. I will, of course be posting pictures along the way.
