🦌 Fawn Update! 🦌

Both of Willow B’s boys are thriving! These two spend their days bouncing, leaping, and playing together, sticking close to Mama while also getting brave enough to venture out and meet the rest of the Caillou's Calling crew.

Did you know fawns are born with almost no scent and an incredible ability to blend into their surroundings? This natural camouflage helps protect them from predators while Mom is away foraging.
That's why it's so important not to touch a fawn if you find one alone in your yard. Human scent can attract predators and put the baby at risk. In most cases, Mama is nearby and will return when she feels it's safe. The best thing you can do is admire from a distance and leave the little one exactly where it is.

For now, our boys are enjoying life, learning about the world, and perfecting their frolicking skills. 🦌 🦌

🦌💕 We've been keeping a VERY exciting secret!

On May 21, Willow B welcomed TWO beautiful fawns into the world! We've spent the last couple of weeks making sure both boys are strong, healthy, and thriving before sharing the news. We’re thrilled to report that Mama and babies are doing great!

Now we need your help! Since both fawns are boys, they will need to be neutered when they're old enough, and caring for them means additional veterinary expenses, exams, vaccinations, and ongoing care. Our vet already visited to assess the boys and help us plan for their future needs.

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our visitors making memories with the animals at Caillou’s Calling!

Monkey the goat was especially grateful for the very generous donation of graham crackers, grapes, and kale! Safe to say our sweet boy was living his best life and making lots of new friends. 😂
