Had a great time at the first Michigan Netherland Dwarf Club Specialty Show! It was a huge success! So many beautiful rabbits!!
A doe we sold last spring won breed for the youth, so that was really exciting!
Got to catch up with almost all the Mi ND peeps, and even got our hands on an exciting new Buck from Doug and Molly 👀

Coalminer is a massive buck that has the biggest bone I've seen yet! I love his head and cheeks, just think his brow could be deeper. I wish he had a better topline and ears, also his fur can be rough at times when he sprays 🥴
His full sister was BJrOV at Convention last fall.
He has never shown bad temperament, but he randomly bit me a few days ago. He didn't lunge or break the skin, just reached up and grabbed my finger. We have small kids around, so don't tolerate biting in the barn, or he would definitely be staying!
His dad carries dilute, and his sister has thrown smoke, so there is a chance he might as well.
His lines are Dogwood Hollow's, HF, Steven's.

This buck brings a lot to the table! He has a killer body, very nice fur, good bone, and I love his depth and width! His head is fair decent, but it might fill out as he matures 🤷‍♀️ I wish his ears were more upright and his bone was a touch shorter. He has some scattered white hairs.
Littermate to the cute little broken buck I shared.
His dad carries dilute, so there is a chance he does as well.
His lines are Dogwood Hollow's, Steven's, and Bad Habbitry's

Just want to take a moment to recognize this amazing rabbit!
If you have a rabbit from us, Phoenix is most likely in the pedigree.
He absolutely is the foundation of this herd! Almost our entire herd has him in their background, some he has even moved off the pedigree 🥲 He has received 9 legs including 2 breed wins, and placed 4th when entered at Convention. He consistently outproduces himself, with most of his offspring and their offspring being granded. Most notably his son, Dogwood Dollow's Dante, with 12 legs and 2 breed wins, and his granddaughter, Dogwood Hollow's Burnin Love, with 16 legs and 7 breed wins.
It's a crazy story how Brooke was able to get him all from being in the perfect places at the perfect times. It's so encouraging when you get to see a little behind the scenes of God working all things together!

Looking for Advice!

We have a first time mom that had a great litter of 3 healthy kits. They are doing well and growing fast for 2 weeks old. My concern is with the doe, as she has lost a lot of weight 😬
Our nursing does get unlimited 16-18% pellets, fresh high quality alfalfa and Timothy hay, fresh clean water, and a Tablespoon mixture of BOSS, barley flakes, YQ, and wheat germ oil.

Am I missing something crucial?!
Will it impact the babies if I shelved them and had her nurse only 1x a day?

Never had an issue like this in all the years of raising rabbits 🫣

A little buck I'm loving! He was the runt from a large litter, and I spent many nights worried he wasn't going to make it. He spent his first few months in our kitchen being pampered and watched over like a hawk! He has developed the sweetest personality, and is super curious over eveything!
