With a heavy heart this morning; we had to say goodbye to our oldest team member this weekend. Oakley was 14½ he's nickname "hokely smokely". He is going to be missed deeply.
Oakley is one of Ruthies before Crystal Blue SD was made into what it is now. Oakley as a little pupp picked me "Ruthie" when I first saw his litter. I was asked by friends if I wanted a pupp from Oakleys dad that was one of my dogs I sold them some time ago. Of course I had to say YES! Oakley like his generations before him was a lead dog. He was 3rd generation from my blood lines. He was one smart cookie! Hes the reason we have clips on all of our gates in the kennels. He learned how to open them. Also he knew how to sneak past you quickly without you knowing he got out, but he was one of those sled dogs you never wanted to see go. Pleasing us with whatever we wanted and asked him to do! Give us all the never ending kisses! He was so gentle with kids and loved to see those babies in the stroller! Oakley you WILL BE MISSED.💙

Today is a big day for us! We are celebrating a Golden birthday here a Crystal BlueSD. For these 6 goofy crazy dogs, forever you guy will be our puppies 😍 We love every day God has given use with them! Enjoy going down Memory lane with us🤍🐶🤍 Happy 4th Birthday Hazel, Juneau, Taz, Bo, Wasilla, Mesquite🎉🎉🎉🎉

We had a great time last week at Sandy Pines winter fest! It was Fancy, Boone,Rufus and Foxie first time to a demo and it was ruff a first but the got the hang of it and then loved all the attention!

The group consists of 22 dogs — including five rescues.

This is Oakley! He is going to be 13 this year. Oakley is the sweetie boy. Loves everyone and is always sooooo happy! He has been with us since was a little pup🐶 His place in our team is lead dog! Even though he's getting old and almost ready to retire, he still loves to run with the team from time to time, also one on one with us or kids. There are some cool things about him that he's dose since he was a pup. If you ever need a kiss he is your boy!😁💋 He doesn't just walk around the kennels at home he has to go prancing every where he goes. He loves baby's in strollers! We are not kidding. If he sees one he will cry and whimper to see them, once he sees them he likes to bump their feet with his nose💕 Well love this boy so much!

It may not look like winter🥺, but we are at Sandy Pines winter fest spreading our dogs love and teach all things Dog Sledding!
