🐍 Watch Out for Rattlesnakes! 🐍

🍂🍁 As the weather changes, rattlesnakes become more active — and curious pets are at risk. Dogs and cats who like to explore tall grass, trails, or rocky areas are the most vulnerable. 🍁🍂

👉 Tips to keep your pets safe:

🐾 Keep pets on a short leash during walks.

🐾Stay on open paths and avoid heavy brush or tall grass.

🐾Check yard ornaments and toys prior to letting your pet out to explore.

🐾Don’t let pets investigate holes, rocks, or logs.

🐾If you hear a rattle, stay calm and back away slowly.

We also have the rattlesnake vaccination available at the clinic. We recommend boostering this vaccine yearly as it can often lessen the severity of signs after a bite. This does not mean your pet will not need treatment! It is still highly advised to seek emergency care.
