“Peppa” is 13.3-hands tall and 16 hands wide! She is big enough for an adult, yet not intimidating in size for a youth. Peppa is broke to both ride AND drive and has been used for all kinds of arena, ranch, and trail work. From calving and pasture checks to 20-mile pack in camping trips to driving, Peppa has done a little bit of everything.
✅ Roped and Drug Cows
✅ Trots the Barrel Pattern
✅ Gone Over Jumps
✅ Trail Rides
✅ Ridden Down the Road
✅ Flags, Tarps, Ball
✅ Ranching
✅ Drives Single and Double - Wagon or Cart
Peppa has three nice gaits with a great stop and back. She moves off leg, side passes, collects, and is starting to neck rein. She rides in both the arena and on the trail, and has been ridden out along the road. Peppa has lots of time on the ranch and trail including 20-mile pack in camping trips, roping and dragging calves during calving, and checking pastures and fences. In the arena, this versatile mare knows how to trot through the barrels, has gone over some jumps, and handles the chaos of barrel racing practice night well. She has been ridden by a 7-yr-old little girl and took good care of her. Peppa also drives single and double, and has been hooked to wagons, used for feeding, and has pulled carts down the road – though she’s had more miles in the field than on pavement and needs to build her confidence on the road. She’s best suited for an intermediate rider or better and is not for a total beginner without guidance, as she is a responsive ride with some go and she can be looky at times. Peppa has ZERO buck, bite, kick, or rear. She loves people (and treats!) and is easy to handle. She has also had a foal and is a wonderful mother. She is good to trailer and haul, is 100% sound with big hard feet that have never required shoes, and is UTD on everything. Peppa would thrive as a ranch horse, trail partner, driving horse, pony club mount, or just about anything else you’d like to do with her. She’s ready to find her person and get to work (or play!). We encourage potential buyers to come visit our home in Hamilton, MT to meet Peppa to be sure it is a good fit. We love to stay in touch and help however we can after they go to their new homes. Whether you have questions, need tips, or just want to send updates, we’re always here to support a good match.
