Good morning, we've been incredibly busy throughout the month, pouring our time and effort into constructing coops and runs during our peak season to help fund the rescue. As a result, I decided to assess our support level for the rescue by suspending fundraising efforts for 30 days. We refrained from requesting donations throughout April to gauge our incoming funds. During this period, we received our standard monthly sponsor donations, totaling $750, as well as $274 from our Patreon subscribers and $131 from spontaneous supporters. In total, we received $1,155. However, our daily expenses for feeding the rescues amount to approximately $60 per day, resulting in a shortfall of roughly $500 for the month.

Despite our demanding schedule, comprising daily work, horse duties, and family responsibilities, we remain committed to our mission. Nevertheless, the horses' needs remain unchanged, and they require continuous care regardless of our daily posts for fundraising efforts.

We have found a reputable rescue organization, with whom I have previously collaborated, to transfer our remaining rescues to in the coming weeks. Although this decision is difficult, the past 30 days have clearly demonstrated the insufficient support we receive to sustain our rescue operations. In the near future, I will be rehoming some of my personal horses to help fund and complete essential tasks such as pasture improvement, rock removal, and fence rebuilding. While I will continue to rescue horses in the future, it will be on a much smaller scale and at my own expense.

This chapter of our rescue journey has come to a close, and I am grateful for the experiences and lives saved throughout our efforts with all of our supporters help. I will provide a final update once the rescues have been transferred, and any subsequent donations will be forwarded to their new home. You’ll be able to follow along the duration of their individual journeys at their new rescue home as well, and continue to donate to that rescue for their care there as well. We’re still gathering a plan and details on an exact date for transfer, but any feed, supplies, hay, etc that is the rescues will be transferred with the rescues when they leave.

Our goal is to attempt to fundraise to provide a full pallet of feed to aid in their transition to the new rescue, and we will also need to purchase 20 bags of feed for their care until the transfer is complete. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to our supporters for their continued assistance, and I wish you all the best. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Happy Tuesday! Yesterday was our son’s 6th birthday! We need 16 round bales sponsored still from our feed board we posted two weeks ago! I’d love to give daily updates and all the fun side of horses but I’m a one man show and I’m working my rear off building coop orders to keep them fed- which means not much posting- which means little to no funds coming in which doesn’t help the rescue at all! Hard to get ahead when either donations are zero or coop orders are zero, but we probably could get ahead and get the rescue in a safe zone if donations and coop orders came in simultaneously! Horses don’t stop eating, so please consider donating.

It’s been busy AF the last week so sorry for the late update but here’s the current board and where we’re sitting at and how many round bales and feed bags we need sponsored. On Friday I had a stray dog show up at my house and she stayed with us for about four days until somebody decided they wanted to adopt her. I was trying to find her owner first, but nobody came forward except for one lady that lives on the other side of my street and she said that she was a stray that had been hanging around for months come to find out she was actually a stray dog that had been hanging out on the road down the street for me for about a year. Turns out the lady that wanted to adopt her from me had managed to catch her sibling as a stray so she’s now reunited with her sister, which is pretty amazing! Monday after getting material for a coop order, I walked out to see my tire FLAT- so had to air it up as much as I could with this nifty little air compressor and limp over to the tire shop for a patch… then get back to grab my material!

I’ve recently been blessed with a bunch of coop and run orders, which is helping fund part of the Rescue as well as pay our bills so I’ve been working on those tirelessly for the past three weeks. I believe I have two more orders coming in and then in my free time to try and gain some sanity back, I like to go looking for arrowheads so I spend some of my free time doing that and I really have been detached completely from my phone for the most part which is also pretty nice but unfortunately, as peaceful as it is not being attached to my phone all the time it does not help bring in funds for the rescue horses, and I cannot commit 100% of the funds from the chicken coops and runs to the horses as we have bills of our own and we’re family of six and the economy is sh*t…as you all know I’m sure.

If you’re looking to adopt foster any of that you are more than welcome to apply on our page, I would love to have fosters or adopters in place for the ones that we have here.. five of them are blind, two are special needs and one is a fat Reba LOL.. but I wanted to post this quick little update and I’m hoping that if you are able to, please consider sponsoring a round bale or a bag of feed and also like and share our post and make sure you interact with them so it’ll bring our visibility up on our page so more people can see our post and hopefully donate and help support these horses as well. 🩷🩷🩷

Good morning!! I’ve been busting my butt building and delivering coop orders for the last two weeks- and realized today we have ONE round bale left and I need to get a load brought in QUICK.

Let’s get our round bale portion of the board filled and get on the delivery schedule for Wednesday this week! We need 21 round bales sponsored by our amazing supporters to feed the herd! Don’t worry about the feed portion of the board yet- as I was able to buy a full pallet and we still have about 20 bags of feed left.

Who wants to set the pace and start a match train?! Use the links to donate and sponsor a round bale for one of our rescue pastures!

Hello everyone! We only need 4 horses sponsored this month now!

Also- Make sure you renew your patreon subscription if it expired! Our Patreon allows you to choose an amount from $1-$500 to donate monthly and pays out once a month to the horses feed fund.

This morning it paid out and I noticed we lost about $171 in donations from Patreon due to subscriptions ending.
