Stone Eagle Ranch sponsored the Buckle Blow Out performance show today . Along with Pat Skaggs construction and Heartland Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

This was the second of two one day buckle shows we sponsored this year . We were so Happy to contribute to this awesome buckle Blowout .

Of course Addie was an over achiever and went for both pleasure and ranch . She won Reserve in 13+under pleasure division. And won the buckle for the 13+under Ranch Division!

Yesterday was the Rayville Raceo Buckle show we sponsored with Skaggs Construction . We had a great time with good family and friends!

Addie and Nos had a decent day and Nos is starting to find his NOS Button .

Cora stuck with it on Razz and she had a good learning Day and even kicked butt on the Panty Hose race with Chey and banana !! We were all so proud!

Darcy we couldn’t be prouder of . She really got together with Zook this show . And while she doesn’t get a physical Prize she got 3rd in overall high points against some TOUGH competition! And that’s after some rider errors and knowing ol Zook has some more speed!

She kicked butt and took names . Her and cash are looking great and even with top competition they looked like pros doing it . They took home the high point buckle !
And her and BANANA did great . Bandana is her real name and was started here at Stone Eagle Ranch and they got reserve high points!!!

Roslyn and squirrel had some good runs and liked good doing it . Although I believe squirrel might be waddling by the November show😂

Cheyenne Skaggs it’s doing great with Tippy and I think tippy is ready for some speed ! And she hung right in there with everyone and laid down some pretty runs on cowboy ! You did awesome !

Levi !!! So proud on how far you have come this season . I love watching your progress . Even if you forget to tighten your saddle before a run 🤣🤣 you did amazing !

Dakota aka Kickin Wing did ok I guess . Got reserve and whiskey made those wings work!

We had a close race for reserve between LELAND Douglas and myself 🤣 kida is starting to regret her life choices with that long haired hunk several months back. But she’s come so far and doing great !

And miss LouAnn. I started out the season on whiskey . But Dakota has enjoyed riding him at home and wanted him to step up and lope this show with him. I decided a week ago to put the 4th 5th and 6th ride on her . At the beginning of the week she was making wobbly circles and struggling to walk forward consistently. But I just knew I could trust the brains on this baby . I was skeptical because what two yr old with only SIX rides is ready to go tackle a walk/trot Raceo with barrels poles jumps and even a scary white keyhole on the ground . (Which she won!)
Not only was she quiet and rode well for the little time she’s had but she won RESERVE high point . I could not be prouder . And it just goes to show that GOOD BREEDING and a good foundation do wonders ! Thank you Heart Arrow Quarter Horses for the awesome opportunity your amazing stock! She’s a testament to your breeding . And we are so happy she’s apart of our program now ! And yes she was bigger than most everything there too!

Her Dam is by Blue Star Clipper out Of Strawberry Delight . Strawberry Delight hasn’t been certified yet so this fillies is not registered YET! But she will be soon. So this filly sells grade for now .

This year the girls of Stone Eagle Ranch have worked very hard to improve and prepare for SEVERAL important shows this season and going into the next. From Cora making her debut at AHCA shows to Darcy making hers next season. And Blue Ducks first year showing . To Jill and Max going back for a repeat Championship run at Nationals . To Addie training Nos and Razz all on her own and going for a National Title. And also going for the Buckles at the Buckle Blowouts this month.
This Team is making waves . Hop on board and Back some Champions get your business name SEEN!

We have found a barn name .
Everyone Meet Hagatha 🩷
She has learned that running away achieves nothing . And kicking isn’t the answer . So she just grits and bears it till the crazy red head leaves her alone.
We picked a registered name but going to wait till AQHA approves it to post ! And no her barn name isn’t a hint lol

Alright everyone , I have some favored names but I don’t know why I’m drawing a blank on naming this filly .

Registered and barn name .

Let me tell you she is SPICY!!!
I don’t like generic names like pepper and storm and lightning ( no offense !)

I like FUNNY names . I have a duck, a goose , a happy lol

I need something spicy and bad*** like she is and will be .

Registered names I LOVE play on word names . So here are the requirements for that .

She needs :
whiskey or awesome ( or something along those lines possibly )
AND
Bar,doc,son or Dee

Get creative y’all!!

I have a few already on my list but great minds think alike.

When you’re getting testimonials about how good their Stallion is doing at home. And the next morning you wake up to find the daughter of said stallion still wet on the ground and trying to stand . You get a little giddy !

Especially because I’ve been waiting on this precious little girl a LONG time !

I’ve had the pleasure of throwing my leg over dad and training him, and starting some siblings now. Can I just say nothing beats the brains ! And now this filly gets to continue her mom’s legacy of being a gritty saint of a mare !
And she’s already spicy like her too.
Momma doesn’t look bad for mid twenties and just dropping a baby !

Now to name this sweet spicy little girl !

Well Some exciting News for Stone Eagle Ranch.

Mercury went to her new Adventure yesterday and it was bittersweet to say goodbye to our sweet first baby we raised here . She will do wonderful things and make another Ella very happy ❤️

This joker dived bombed us as I was riding LouAnn for the 2nd ride with forward movement , yes 2nd .
He didn’t just circle , he came nose down right over top then banked to the right to go back to his fields. And she just stood there , quiet .
I jumped off as soon as I saw he wasn’t turning from us , cause I choose life . But she stood , quiet kinda looked at it odd but no fuss just stood . Needless to say I was shooketh . Because this was her 2nd ride! And it was muddy too, a big spook could have been bad . I’m so proud of her , and her brains . And I wish I had gotten a video of her quietly standing while this thing flew all around her like an annoying horsefly.
