Many thanks to all who joined us at Chestnut Ridge to celebrate the life of Susan Ferry. It turned out to be a truly beautiful day with many incredible, generous, loving and kind people in attendance--along with their well-behaved (mostly! 😅), 4-legged family members. We laughed and cried as folks shared their fondest memories of Susan; each of us taking away a deeper understanding of a talented, creative, intelligent, giving and thoughtful woman we called friend, sister, neighbor... We closed the event with a casual dog walk, a bit of networking, some new friends and big bear hugs. We're sure Susan was smiling over the festivities.

Below, please find the updated details on Susan's Celebration of Life:

A "Celebration of Life" will be held in memory of Susan Ferry on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 12 PM EST at Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park, NY at Shelter #8 (Casino side), rain or shine. https://www3.erie.gov/parks/chestnut-ridge

Festivities will begin at the shelter promptly at noon. Please bring your best Susan stories to share! Light refreshments will be served. Afterward, well-behaved dogs are invited to join their humans for a brief, memorial dog walk in the park. We look forward to remembering and honoring Susan's life and legacy with all of you!
