Abactochromis Labrosus (formerly melanochromis)

This Lake Malawi mbuna breaks all the "mbuna rules". First by being a carnivorous fish, a piscivore, then by behavior being very peaceful and extremely timid, and ending at their coloration. What you see is what you get. These do not display jaw dropping color, brown with blue lips that will slowly grow and extend to point both upward and downward. Bottom line these fish are cool and VERY limited on the market. Possibly the most rare, unheard of and market limited species we offer.

Neolamprologus Leleupi

A Lake Tanganyika cave spawning species. These guys are a great addition to any tang tank. With vibrant oranges, a relaxed demeanor, and an interactive personality these fish are worth the long time it takes to reach maturity with a slow growth rate.

Pseudotropheus "RT Ndumbi"

A lake Malawi Mbuna. How much attitude can you fit into one small species? While we don't know then exact answer. The RT Ndumbi certainly tries to push the boundaries. A stunning eye catcher or a fish where Dom males get ice white with a deep orange to red blaze. Often spending times in caves or rock formations.

Pyxichromis Orthostoma "Nawapasa"

A piscivorous predator from Lake Nawampasa and spotted in the Victorian Nile. These fish are for the true collectors. A slow coloring species that will developed a red along the upper body, a solid black eye bar, ice blue dorsal fin, and an iridescent sheen over the entire body

Ptyochromis "Hippo Point Salmon" sparring

A less commonly seen Victorian Basin species hailing from the waters of Lake Victoria. The HPS is an absolutely stunning example of what the basin has to offer. A carnivorous smaller fish will happily spend most of his day flashing his colors for ladies and keeping his fellow males in check. A very active brilliantly colored fish that is a must for any basin nut. Surprisingly for as active as they are with breeding displays and Territorial disputes, the HPS is a relatively relaxed peaceful fish

Pseudotropheus " Flavus"

A Lake Malawi mbuna. The Flavus is a slow coloring mbuna well worth the wait. These guys are feisty, bottom line. It does not matter what their tank mates are, they treat all fish the same, a true pillar of equality. While being highly active, I wouldn't let that detour you from the amazing addition they can be. Definitely would reccomend.

Astatotilapia "Thick Skin"

The Astatotilpia "Thick Skin" (commonly known as 'hap' sp. #44) is my all time favorite. A very misunderstood and misrepresented species. While they do express extreme levels of conspecific aggression, they tend to not care so much about other fish. Males will spend all day battling each other for supremacy constantly flashing. A highly active fish that will be spotted often in your tank. These guys can go from dull and generally just "blah" to a jaw dropping display of color in literally just a second or two. Recommended adding in groups of three or more.

Pseudotropheus "Jewel Spot"

A less commonly seen fish with a less commonly seen base color, jet black. The jewel spot is a Lake Malawi dwarf mbuna that proves sometimes, less is more. With a jet black body and small neon blue dots, the coloration of this fish is simple and stunning. With a moderate level of aggressive behavior these guy never seems to "take it too far" often ending in minor spats that tend to end peacefully and within a few short moments. A beautifully underated species.

Labidochromis SRT Hongi "Sweden"

The Hongi "Sweden" are a line bred variant of the Hongi found in Lake Malawai. These are a highly sought after fish that display true red (not orange) accents which is extremely rare in Malawi based species. These guy have a mild demeanor and are guaranteed to please. As developed adults males and even some females will become red flushed in the face, dorsal, ventral, and underbody. This particular line boasts excellent masks, exceptional color, and perfect barring.

Metraclima "Chewere Elongatus" (formerly pseudo.)

This Lake Malawi based mbuna species is always a gem. Males develope a black coat covering their brilliant blues that eventually morph into a "diamond" shape. This is a very active mbuna and will be seen often. They have a nasty habit for chasing, however in my experience it stops there at chasing and is a welcomed addition to any tank.
