Meet This Week’s Adorable Featured Friends 💙🐾

S’mores may be tiny, but she has a big personality and plenty to say! Nixie melted our hearts with those puppy-dog eyes, and Rocco proved that reptiles can be just as charming as their furry friends. 🐱🐶🦎

💜 Purple Paw Award Recipient: Chelsea 💜

Chelsea’s story is one of resilience, strength, and unconditional love.

Since being adopted, Chelsea has faced ongoing skin issues and a serious back injury that required her to spend nearly five months in a supportive harness during recovery. Through every challenge, she remained the same sweet, affectionate, and happy girl her family knows and loves.

Despite everything she’s been through, Chelsea continues to brighten every room she enters. She adores people, especially children, gets along wonderfully with other pets, and never misses an opportunity for playtime, cuddles on the couch, or chewing on her favorite tough toy.

Chelsea’s perseverance and loving spirit make her a truly deserving recipient of a Purple Paw Award. We are so proud of how far she has come and grateful that she found a family who loves her so deeply.

What is a splenectomy? 🐶

A splenectomy is the surgical removal of the spleen and may be recommended for conditions such as tumors, rupture, trauma, or other splenic diseases. In this video, Dr. Cerf is carefully closing the surgical site after a successful procedure.

Every patient receives individualized care before, during, and after surgery to support a smooth recovery.
