I bought two saddles this week.

Circle Y mainly for me for training and then bought my clients saddle that I posted for sale for one of my students.

I forgot to get a new picture of Reba today because I rode her briefly before my lesson and then finished after. Just go go go.

Today she was finally worked while another horse was working in the arena. And let me tell ya. She had a real hard time with that. Especially when that horse was trotting. 😆

But we pushed on and she progressed and we will continue to challenge her with that while she’s here.

She also has been spending some extra time tied since she finds the need to paw.

Despite working later into the night last night I find myself having more energy this evening so I can actually write some posts.

Rode Laney at dusk, or during “Blue Hour” per my photographer boyfriend. lol

Something was making a pretty terrifying noise off in the distance in the woods. And my cats were playing rassle tassle through our construction piles behind the barn.

Continuing to work Laney through her harsh reaction to any bit of pressure or discipline.

Yesterday she most certainly got told to fix her face as she pinned her ears and bared her teeth at me for making her pivot with a purpose.

Today main focus was lightly introducing her to a shank bit because being 6years old with an intended show career it’s something she needs to get comfortable with. I start on the ground with this. And she did fine and the randomly had a fit and we had a conversation again about overreacting.

Once we worked past that on the ground I got on and very light handedly worked her.
She did really well and she didn’t chew on this bit as much as she does the o-ring or bob her head around a bunch.

I will still use an oring to work on loosening her body and getting more bend but glad to see she may transition well.

‼️All lesson students should be on and following Comin’ Home Ranch - Barn Buzz at this time it’s only for students so most everyone else has been booted. Sorry.

Here’s a post that I want to make sure was seen.

-Going forward payment must be received prior to the start of the lesson-

**I’m also going to add a parking reminder to this. Please park to the left of the driveway and park facing the fence. Gizmos mom needs in and out of here during lesson time as does my police sergeant significant other and my Amazon driver.**

First group lesson today. We had to do some tack adjustments. And it took us a bit. But we got there and next time will be even smoother!
Harley’s second time coming out to help!

In the past two weeks I’ve been kicked, bit, juked, and stepped on.

Horses, especially training them, are not for the faint of heart.

*I don’t need or want sympathy I’m ok lol. I’ve been doing this for a long time. However if you see me sitting more during lessons or wearing not traditional barn shoes. That’s why 😆

Everyone’s horses are alive and doing well. I’m tired.

That is all. 😴
