Getting some euro mounts in and a few shoulder mounts this hunting season. Still got some ducks to finish and an awesome turkey tail with wings breast beard and legs to complete. Thank you to everyone that is or has allowed me to help memorialize their hunting adventure. Gosh I love doing this I really do. With honest quality craftsmanship I might be able to live the dream of DRT. Thank you all and thank you mother nature for all your critters. As my two friends Ricky the raccoon and Otis the opossum say "eat trash and be wild"

Big thanks to another satisfied customer of DRT Taxidermy, for allowing me to do this Euro Mount on an awesome buck!

I did a double, cold water maceration on this one,
as opposed to applying any heat. I cleaned and degreased the skull with no heat. It takes four or five times as long, depending on the skull, however the bone density of the skull is significantly greater than if you apply heat to it. The skull comes cleaner than applying heat to it. Heat is merely a way to speed the process up. You always come out with better details the slower you go, in my opinion.

I appreciate your patience for allowing me the time to do this process, and I believe it's the best method. I worked on this skull for three months when I can do one with heat in less than a week. However, I like the results better with this method, and I feel that is is a longer lasting product, letting mother nature do it instead of artificially stimulating the process.
