This Memorial Day, we honor the memory of the courageous men and women who gave their lives to our country. At GHERF, we pause with grateful hearts to remember the heroes whose sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy each day. Today is more than a holiday. It is a time to reflect on the bravery, dedication, and selflessness of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for others. As we approach our 5-year anniversary in South Central Virginia and celebrate 26 years as a nonprofit organization, we are overwhelmed with gratitude! We feel so blessed to be a part of an amazing community that believes in our mission and supports the work we do. These past five years have brought so much joy, healing, growth & hope. Our herds, horses and cows alike, along with the Heathy Habits programs have flourished and continued to grow because of the expanded acreage, enriched soil, and our commitment to regenerative agriculture practices.
