Locust Ridge Retrievers

A large part of the joy in waterfowl hunting is working with a reliable partner, a well trained retriever. As a retiree, I started Locust Ridge Retrievers in 2011 to fill my days doing what I enjoy most in the off hunting season, training retrievers. I run dogs in AKC Hunt Tests and Field Trials and have titled dogs from Junior through Master. This year, I had the honor of qualifying three dogs fo

r the Master National. I am an active member in the Black Creek Retriever Club and Ducks Unlimited. I follow a dedicated retriever training program which includes; obedience, force fetch, developing marking skills, basic handling and advanced blind work skills. I have access to superb properties well suited for retriever training and also hold a Class C NYS shooting preserve license.
