Fun Photos from Sonoma last week. Ivy made her 1.45m National Grand Prix debut on 9yr Cassirado BF, ribboned in the 1.40m Welcome, and then cleaned up in the hunters on Valentino BF earning a Championship in 6&Under, tying for high score in the 3'3" Green Div, and then placing second/Reserve in the $7500 USHJA National Hunter derby on 5 yr old Stallion Valentino BF

5y stallion Valentino BF in his very first USHJA National Hunter Derby. Ivy Creahan riding. Scored 90 and finished 5th overall in a very strong class of 26.

The USEF just released the white paper from the veterinary summit in Ocala this past spring that was one of the key elements of the response to the death of our horse Chromatic BF at the 2024 World Cup Jumping Final in Riyadh. The Chromatic Fund for sport horse welfare research and education continues will help fund essential research into what works, what is safe, and how to keep our competition horses’ safety from the human pressures to win. Thank you to Tracy Turner President of the AAEP and Bill Maroney at USEF for following through on this important work. Not everything I had hoped for but definately a big step in the right direction. Cultural change takes time and relentless determination to make a positive difference from all member of the community but especially leadership.

This little week old filly by GP Jumper Mr. Whoopy out of Simone Coxe’s Samoa let everyone know today she is definately Daddy’s girl. LOL

Annika Kortlang was the top placing non-pro in the $5,000 National Hunter Derby with her lovely mare Edelweiss. They took 7th out of 30 with a beautifully ridden round and followed it up with great ribbons in the juniors!
