🐱 Happy National Cat Day! 🐱
Today is the purrfect day to give the cats in your life extra attention, treats, and appreciation. 🐾
It’s also a day with a purpose: adopting from your local shelter and spaying or neutering your pets helps reduce the number of abandoned animals. Shelters are full of cats and kittens with as many personalities as they have colors and coats, and about 3.4 million of them find their way to a shelter each year.
They may take their time deciding who they love, but once they do, they curl right into your heart. 💙
Ready to meet your purrfect match? Come visit the cats at Mountain Humane!

It’s National Veterinary Technician Week! 💙 WE COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!

Every October, National Veterinary Technician Week (Oct 18-24 this year) is a time to recognize the skilled, caring professionals who are the backbone of veterinary care. Here’s what our Mountain Humane vet techs do every day, with all the love they’ve got:
🩸 Lab work: drawing blood and running tests with a gentle touch
🔪 Surgery & anesthesia: prepping patients and watching over every heartbeat
💉 Patient care: meds, IVs, and radiographs, treating every animal like their own
🛏️ Recovery TLC: cuddles, soft blankets, and whispered reassurance
🗣️ Client support: a listening ear and kind word, even on the hardest days

Behind every wagging tail and every purr is a vet tech who showed up with their whole heart. 💙

To our vet tech team: THANK YOU for the skill and compassion you pour into this work every day. We are so grateful for you! 🐾
