Remenbering and celebration.
This is in honor of a very special female Moscovy duck , Ducky the Bruce that passed away last Friday.
Don't know her age as I was called to rescue her in Summerville river when it was freezing in February 4 years ago, her feet and web were damaged but after catching her my vet cleaned them and we kept her on soft soil.
She was amazing, the boss of 3 other female and a goose but very sweet and gentle.
I miss her a lot.
The most amazing and wonderful part of the story is that by going there I met the 2 most compassionate and loving women who loves and care for the duck: Myriam and Bev.
They came many times to visit with their son and love the animals at the sanctuary.
They have help and support the sanctuary.
I am honored and privileged to have them as friend because of Ducky.
That's what makes life so magical

This is Bicker, a baby domestic turkey that was found in the woods in Athol, by someone jogging by. We aren’t sure how she ended up there but we are glad she’s here now. She is super cute and friendly !

Unfortunately, we are so sad to share that Lisa died Thursday night. We appreciate all your support and are asking for some more donations for the funeral, to help Claudine’s son through this very tough time. As an always, thank you all, Patrick and a Claudine.

Patrick here, we are asking for some help for Lisa, Claudine’s daughter in law. We are heartbroken that she has cancer and is dying. She needs alternative medicine that is not covered by insurance. The one treatment the doctor recommended is 6k.
Claudine’s son has been married to Lisa for 34 years and he is doing everything in his power to try to for a miracle. They are very much in love and we would love her to get better to see the animals which she absolutely loves. Meet our new goats! They are from a local farmer who has too many goats, the same place our beloved Ralphie who we miss dearly came from. They are 2 female (white one and one with ears) and 1 male (small ears) if anyone has any name suggestions let us know!

CLAUDINE

To give back to Cesar what belongs to Cesar.
Important saying that often we forget how things started!
Many praise about me running the sanctuary and the admirable work I do, however even Claudine hasn't come much to the sanctuary these past 2 years the sanctuary would not exist without her.
For 2 main reasons:
She is the one who had a family member with Mike the cockatiel who started everything allowing me to discover birds and animals love me.
But above all she is the one who by her love and spiritual work help me to be who I am today, and for that I'll be always in debt.
I strongly believe that woman help men to be better!
So hurrah to all women

For those who don't know Claudine had a heart attack some months ago and didn't realize it.
she was not well but had no ideas, its only because she had swollen feet that i brought her to the hospital and they kept her 6 days to get tons of fluids that was around her heart and lungs.
after they did some tests and decided they needed to do surgery which will happen tomorrow morning!
they are going to open her to install a device to monitor the fluid inside and go through the artery to make there is no blockage.
Hopefully everything will go well..
