If you appreciate serious vintage off-road machinery and heavy-duty engineering, you have to check out the Thiokol Juggernaut. Built to conquer conditions that would swallow a normal truck whole—from deep mud and muskeg to heavy snow and remote utility work—these articulated track vehicles are legendary.

Year of Creation & Origins
Vehicle Origin: The underlying design of these tracked utility vehicles traces back to prototypes built in 1948 by engineers Roy France and Emmett Devine at Utah State University under the Frandee Sno-Shu brand. Series production began in 1950.
The Thiokol Era: In 1961, the Utah Scientific Foundation sold the snow vehicle business to the Thiokol Chemical Corporation (a major American manufacturing and aerospace company founded in 1929), which moved production to Logan, Utah.
The Spryte Model: The versatile Spryte / Snow-Spryte (Model 1200 series)—the exact machine seen in these transport trucks—was widely introduced and produced starting in the 1960s (gaining major international exposure at the 1964 Innsbruck Winter Olympics).
What are these machines for?
The Thiokol Spryte is an enclosed-cab, fully tracked utility vehicle engineered to traverse deep snow, marshlands, and rugged off-road terrain. Their primary uses include:

Maintenance Tips for Prinoth T4 Snowcat
Track and Undercarriage Maintenance
Track Tension Monitoring: Regularly check and adjust track tension to prevent excessive wear on the drive sprockets, tires, and belts, and to avoid track derailing during operation.
Inspect Cleats, Belts, and Guide Lugs: Routinely examine the rubber tracks, grousers (cleats), and guide clips for cracking, splitting, or loosening, especially after heavy use over rough or rocky terrain.
Wheel and Bogie Bearings: Grease and inspect all bogie wheels, hubs, and suspension components to prevent moisture intrusion and bearing failure in cold, wet conditions.

Drive Train and Sprockets
Sprocket Tooth Inspection: Check the drive sprockets for uneven wear, hooking, or chipping, which can damage the track drive lugs prematurely.
Hydrostatic & Transmission Fluid: Monitor hydraulic fluid levels, check for leaks around lines and motors, and change filters according to the manufacturer's operational hours schedule.

Blade and Attachment Systems
Pivot Points and Pins: Greasing all blade pivot pins, cylinders, and linkage points is essential to reduce friction and prevent premature pin-and-bushing slop.

8 Passenger Heated Cabin for a Pisten Bully Snowcat (Snowgroomer ) Made by Rocky Mountain Tank. Will fit a PB 100, 300, 400,600. 105" long x 7' wide x
64" tall. Very spacious interior for being a smaller cabin. Inside cabin is in great condition, seats are all good.
