Stanley and his little foster sister are hanging out at work today!

He is a big guy, but so good with the little’s and doesn’t mind cats or big dogs either. Just an all around great guy!

Clyde’s surgery is scheduled for September 30th at Scissortail Vet Specialist.We are still not at our goal for his bill....

We are still not at our goal for his bill. We are about 600$ to go until the low side and 1300$ to go on the high side!

John is making big progress!!

He usually likes to hide behind the couch when multiple people are in the living room, away from us because he is so nervous. This evening he was on the couch, and walking around the living room while we were all out and doing normal every evening things. He was even taking treats right from our hands. He is still timid but is doing better!

🚨 OKAY FRIENDS & SUPPORTERS… WE NEED YOUR HELP!

I’m going to ask you to do something a little different today.

Please if you have time- go through your personal dogs’ toy baskets, your kids’ toy bins for stuffy type animals, your cleaning supply cabinets, and those closets full of towels, blankets, sheets, rags, etc and see what you have just sitting around that you no longer need. Don’t take to the thrift store!! We need them! We can even porch pick up.

Because we just took on a foster situation with 13 PUPPIES! 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

These babies were being given away for free when one of our wonderful animal-supporter friends happened to see them. Instead of just driving by, she stopped to talk to their owner, see what was going on, and offer help.

Thankfully, their owner agreed to keep fostering them while we get these babies vetted, vaccinated, and ready to find loving homes. ❤️

And honestly… we couldn’t be happier that this worked out the way it did. Their foster dad is an animal lover himself and truly cares about these puppies. He just needed a little help — and we were going to provide it.

It really feels like God’s timing brought everyone together. 🙏❤️

Now we just need YOUR help keeping these 13 little ones clean, happy, healthy, and spoiled while we work on getting them ready for their forever families!

We can pick up donations or meet you somewhere if you have things to donate.

This is what rescue looks like. It’s not always glamorous, and sometimes it’s 13 puppies needing supplies all at once. 😂 But when a community comes together, we can make it happen.

🐾🍤ANOTHER EPISODE OF… WHERE IS SHRIMP?! 🍤

Apparently, Shrimp has decided that being a rescue dog just isn’t enough… he’s officially added Hollywood Feed Model to his résumé! 😂🖤

Today you can find this handsome guy hanging out at Hollywood Feed, showing off one of the many sales going on right now! And of course, Shrimp takes his modeling job VERY seriously. 😉

Beef cheeks are a staple around here because they’re a long-lasting chew that keep the shop dogs busy and happy. And naturally, Shrimp wasn’t about to let his work friends miss out!

Shrimp may be looking for his forever home, but he’s not going to leave his work friends behind! 😂

On my soap box, get ready:

There is such a horrible problem with people dumping dogs and leaving them to fend for themselves. Dogs are abandoned in neighborhoods, out in the country, at gas stations, in parking lots, on dirt roads, and sometimes simply turned loose because someone thinks, “Someone will save them.”

Or maybe they convince themselves:

“They’ll be better off free.”
“I don’t want them sitting in a kennel while I work.”
“They’ll find another home.”
“Someone else will take care of them.”

But here’s the heartbreaking truth:
They don’t understand that you left them.
A dog who has lived in a home doesn’t suddenly understand how to survive on their own.

They don’t know where their next meal is coming from.
They don’t know which roads are dangerous.
They don’t know which people are safe.
They don’t know how to find shelter when the weather turns bad.
They don’t know how to protect themselves from other animals.
They don’t know why their person isn’t coming back.

And they wait.

They wait until hunger takes over.
They wander into traffic and get hit by cars.
They become sick.
They become covered in fleas, ticks, and other parasites.
They lose weight until they’re nothing but skin and bones.
They get injured, scared, and exhausted.

And through all of it, so many of them are still looking for the person they love.

If you truly cannot keep your dog, there are rescues, shelters, friends, family, rehoming resources, and people willing to help. It may not always be easy. It may TAKE TIME. But abandoning an animal who depends on you is not the answer.

Your dog doesn’t know that you’re struggling.
Your dog doesn’t know that you’re busy.
They just know that they love you.
And they believe you’re coming back.

That is the part that gets me every single time.

Because while we’re sitting here wondering how someone could possibly leave their dog behind…
that dog may still be sitting somewhere, watching every car that passes, hoping the next one is theirs. 💔

Please don’t dump your animals.
If you can’t keep them, ask for help.

They deserve better!!
