Billings, Montana holds the the largest loose sale in the country. Hundreds of horses show up with no story and no representation. Some come with holes, sure. But some are there simply because someone needed the money… didn’t have the time… or didn’t realize what they had.

We were walking through the pens back in April when this tall, gangly, relatively untouched c**t kept circling us with the most curious, kind eye. It took us ten minutes just to get close enough to lay a hand on him. And the minute we did, I looked at Trevor and said, “Yep… we’re bringing him home.”

Now here we are 8 months later, and Biggy has grown into everything we hoped he would! Good minded and built like a horse that’s going to go somewhere.

Here’s proof that a “loose” horse doesn’t define the story… it’s just the beginning of one.

He is the ideal age for someone wanting a horse with a solid foundation and a willing mind that is ready to continue in any direction. He is intelligent, eager to learn, and retains what he is taught. He has been hauled to numerous trails and enjoys getting out and seeing new country. He crosses water, logs, and all types of obstacles with confidence. Vintage is one hand broke. He will really collect up nicely when asked and shows the desire to be a big stopper. He side passes to open and shut gates, has clean lead departures, and lopes nice circles. Vintage is not finished in any one discipline, but he is a versatile gelding with the ability to go on and specialize.
