Colts like this one want to please so badly but sometimes get confused and their first instinct is to respond kind of like a toddler that just got told โ€œnoโ€. Thereโ€™s no reason to beat on them, just talk them through it and explain it. Be consistent, be a safe space and most importantly be CONFIDENT in what youโ€™re asking. If you feel that thereโ€™s grey space in what youโ€™re looking for, how can you expect that c**t to find the black and white for you?
