As everyone knows, this big boy was brought to us out of city limits, even out of county limits. We have found the owners, but it appears they have been trying to get rid of Theo (Theodore) for quite some time.
Due to the circumstance it would be best for us to get him into a rescue ASAP, preferably a husky rescue. He is heartworm positive. Our shelter funds are already limited, and we really need to reserve what we have left for pets in need in our city.
He is up to date on rabies/DAPP and been dewormed. He is not neutered, seems to do okay with other dogs, just a lot of energy (due to his breed). We believe he is around 3 years old and 49 lbs.

Please share in hopes we can get this boy into a rescue ASAP.

This little cutie pie came to us last week and we have discovered her little has been broken. We are not sure how or when it happened but he needs surgery and we are going to do it this morning!!

Our shelter account was not expecting this but we have a lot of faith and hope we can get some funds raised for her and her recovery.

We have had many calls asking when our yearly microchip special is-it begins today through the ENTIRE MONTH of June!! Microchips will run half off at $25 per pet while this special goes on. There are many benefits to having your pet microchipped, the main one being this is your pet's personal identification number that stays with them their entire life! *ALSO A REMINDER: We are the holding facility for Guntersville City Animal Control ONLY. We do not accept any surrenders or strays from outside of city limits or especially other counties. If you are outside of Guntersville city limits, you need to reach out to the proper authority in your jurisdiction - not GPD.*

It is always unfortunate when we have someone brought into our shelter in a way like this, (because it can be so much more difficult to find their owner!) so we'll need everyone's help sharing this one!

This dog was dropped without our choice in our lobby by someone who claimed to pick them up all the way back in Priceville while on I-65. We aren't sure why this pup made it to Guntersville, but they're here now! They are not microchipped, but it truly seems like this dog has a specific owner and they got loose. Lets get them reunited!

Meet Cherry (right) and Mango (left). These 2 cuties were brought in from the same litter as last that were abandoned. They are acclimating very well, we do think they would make a great duo! So if you adopt them together you only have to pay 1 adoption fee!!!

They are up to do on age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, wellness checked out great, and feline leukemia and aids negative. Their adoption fee is $95 each (unless adopted together 😉) and that includes everything we have done plus a spay/neuter!!

Raynie, a 68-pound sweetheart, is available for adoption. This gentle soul is characterized by her excellent behavior, mellow temperament, and quiet nature. She is an exceptionally well mannered girl.

Raynie is great on a leash and submissive around other dogs. She is highly treat-motivated and shows affection readily, making her an ideal companion.

Raynie tested positive for heartworms but TAG will fund her treatment to be administered by GAH. She will make a full rebound and live a happy full life. Treatment has been started.
Adoption fee is $95 and includes her spay, rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, wellness exam, dewormer and microchip.

These guys have been in a foster home since they were tiny tots and are now ready to meet their forever humans! They are around 9 weeks old, fully vetted, and ready to go!
